First student-led Whole Child Framework roundtable planned Oct. 26
The Ohio Association of Student Leaders and Ohio Department of Education are hosting student-led roundtable discussions on Ohio's Whole Child Framework. Student voice is critical to implementing effective whole child supports. Event hosts invite students in grades 6-12 to roundtable discussions to:
- Share how schools are ensuring students are safe, healthy, engaged, supported and challenged;
- Discuss what resources they need; and
- Talk about student leadership in co-designing whole child supports with their school administrators and educators.
Students are welcome to participate in one or more virtual discussions. Roundtable sessions will be from 6-7 p.m. on the following Tuesdays: Oct. 26, Nov. 16, Feb. 22, March 22 and April 19. Each discussion will focus on one of the five tenets of Ohio’s Whole Child Framework — safe, healthy, engaged, supported and challenged. In October, students will discuss the healthy tenet.
