Form available for district roll up of affiliated community school performance data

Traditional public school districts that wish to combine the data of certain startup community schools with data from district-operated schools to calculate district performance as a whole on the Ohio School Report Cards must submit the required form to the Department by Nov. 5.

Update to notice of Advanced Standing Courses

According to Ohio law, all Ohio public schools and districts and chartered nonpublic schools are required to inform all students in grades 6-11 of the advanced standing coursework available to them. Recent legislative updates require these students to be informed annually. Many schools and districts include this as part of their scheduling and advising processes.

The revised rule for the Standards for the Implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Supports and the Use of Restraint and Seclusion requires districts to annually notify parents of their policies and procedures related to the requirements of PBIS and restraint and seclusion.
