District data roll-up form available

Form available for district roll up of affiliated new startup community school performance data
Ohio law allows traditional public school districts to combine the data of certain startup community schools with data from district-operated schools to calculate district performance on the Ohio School Report Cards.
To make use of the provision, the startup community school must be within the district’s boundaries and the district must either:
- Lease a building to the community school, or
- Enter an agreement with the community school to endorse each other’s programs. If a district is the startup community school’s sponsor, the verification form alone constitutes the agreement since the school’s contract already is on file with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
To take advantage of this provision for the 2024-2025 school year, the district must submit the required form and any additional required materials to the Department no later than Nov. 8.
If the district does not sponsor the startup community school, it must provide a copy of the lease or agreement in effect between the district and startup school during the 2024-2025 school year. The district’s decision to include the community school’s performance data with its own data becomes binding for the 2024-2025 school year once the Department receives an acceptable form and any additional required materials.
The Department will not accept late submissions. It is the district’s responsibility to ensure data from the community school is rolling up to the district appropriately.
