Ohio Human Capital Resource Center’s training for engaging and retaining educators

The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce’s Human Capital Resource Center is offering professional learning designed to help education organizations attract, engage, and grow educators who are serving Ohio’s students.

Register for Engage & Retain: Retention Planning & Unpacking the Drivers of Engagement at the ESC of Central Ohio on Oct 30. Attendees will hear about a variety of engagement and retention topics from onboarding through the employee career continuum.

Virtual Power Hours

Starting Oct. 30, human capital professionals may attend one-hour virtual sessions from 11 a.m. to noon to learn about Engage & Retain-related topics. These sessions streamline the content from the above all day in-person event.

• Monday, Oct. 30 - Retention Planning & Unpacking the Drivers of Engagement: The process of retention planning and how to unpack what drives engagement.

• Wednesday, Nov. 6 - Identifying Turnover Trends & Unlocking the Power of Total Rewards: How to pinpoint turnover trends and earn the keys to unlock the power of Total Rewards.

• Wednesday, Nov. 13 - 182 Days of Onboarding and Beyond: Activating smart onboarding before orientation and through the first year to support new employees. 

• Wednesday, Nov. 20 - A Roadmap for the Educator Journey & Developing a Mentoring Culture: Building a roadmap to support the educator journey at key milestones and developing a mentoring culture.

• Tuesday, Nov. 26 - Thriving, Not Surviving: Strategies for Work-Life Integration / Prioritizing Action with an Impact-Effort Matrix: Work-life integration and how to use an impact-effort matrix to prioritize action planning.
