Meet and greet event to learn about high school student exchanges

In collaboration with the U.S. Department of State and BridgeUSA, the Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET) will host a free school “Meet & Greet” Oct. 26 at 5 p.m. The event will occur during the CSIET Annual Conference in Cleveland. High school administrators, designated school officers, superintendents and other interested school representatives will hear from the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs’ Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Nicole Elkon. She will discuss the importance of hosting international exchange students and the significant benefits these students can bring to schools and local communities. Following the session, at 6 p.m., school representatives may attend a free networking event. This will be an opportunity to learn more about exchange programs and recruitment agencies.
