All-star panel opens OCALICONLINE 2022

The Department’s Office for Exceptional Children and OCALI welcome a dynamic opening panel session to OCALICONLINE 2022 – featuring world-renowned leaders Haben Girma, Judy Huemann and Temple Grandin. Haben Girma is the first Deafblind person to graduate from Harvard Law School and a human rights lawyer advancing disability justice. Judy Heumann is a lifelong advocate for the rights of disabled people and was one of the stars in the hit Netflix documentary “Crip Camp.” Temple Grandin is a professor of animal science at Colorado State University and a prominent author and speaker on both autism and animal behavior.

A candid conversation with these three luminaries, leaders and legends kicks off the world’s premier autism and disabilities conference at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 15. Details and registration information are at the event website.
