Virtual trainings focus on Ohio High School Math Pathways Initiative

9/6/2022

The Ohio High School Math Pathways Initiative supports the development and implementation of high school mathematics pathways that branch off from high-quality Algebra 2-equivalent courses. By expanding students’ mathematics coursework options in high school, the pathways initiative presents a tremendous opportunity for students to engage in rigorous mathematics coursework that fits with their interests and postsecondary plans.

To support the implementation of this vision, the Department will be offering a series of training sessions for school counselors and curriculum directors to learn more about the Ohio High School Mathematics Pathways Initiative. The training will include information and resources to engage administrators, teachers, students and parents in discussions and guidance around the Math Pathways.

The Department will host three identical virtual training sessions at various times and dates to allow school counselors and curriculum directors to attend a session that fits their schedule. Meeting organizers also will post a recording and all materials on the Math Pathways Toolkits page in the “Administrator/Counselor Toolkit” section.

Complete this registration form to attend one of the following training sessions:

  • Wednesday, Sept. 7, 5:30-7 p.m.
  • Thursday, Sept. 8, 2-3:30 p.m.
  • Friday, Sept. 9, 9-10:30 a.m.
