Update district and school contact information to receive important updates from the Department

To receive critical updates and timely information from the Department, districts and schools should update the contact information for key personnel in the Ohio Educational Directory System (OEDS).

Student transportation using vans/cars/SUVs

Ohio now allows the use of vehicles originally designed for not more than nine passengers, not including the driver, for transportation of community and chartered nonpublic school students to and from school.

Free threat assessment training

Ohio’s educational service centers will offer free training in the nationally recognized Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Guidelines (CSTAG) model this school year.

Fiscal Year 2024 other accountability assessment data appeal; report card data review and verification

Now through Friday, Aug. 16, districts may appeal their Fiscal Year 2024 other accountability assessment data. 

Beginning Aug. 19, superintendents must review their 2024 student, assessment, calendar, staff, course, reading diagnostic, and exiting student follow-up data reported in EMIS. 

In addition, districts may submit a webpage that highlights their unique qualities and successes. Submit a profile link by Aug. 30 to be included in the 2024 Ohio School Report Cards. 

Registration Open: Ohio Assessment Conference

District test coordinators, administrators, and educators are invited to attend the Ohio Assessment Conference from Sept. 10-12. Registration is free but required before attending the conference.
