College Credit Plus Process for 2018-2019 Begins Today

Students intending to participate in the fourth year of College Credit Plus, the successful program that provides Ohio students with the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school, can begin the notification process for the 2018-2019 school year today (Feb. 15). College Credit Plus debuted at the start of the 2015-2016 school year and has since had more than 65,000 students participating and getting a jump start on college, saving more than $262 million in college tuition costs.

$8 Million Available Through Ohio’s Community Connectors Program

For the fourth year, community organizations, faith- or values-based groups and businesses are being asked to partner to encourage one-on-one mentorship in Ohio’s schools and help give more students access to role models who can motivate and inspire them.

Applications Now Being Accepted for EdChoice and Cleveland Scholarships

The Ohio Department of Education is now accepting applications for scholarships for students assigned to underperforming public schools, students from lower-income families or students who reside in the Cleveland Municipal School District for the 2018-2019 school year. The awarded scholarships help students attend participating private schools.
