Reading Diagnostic List Update per SB 19
Recently passed state legislation—SB 19—effectively cancels change 27-15, which had reduced the list of approved Reading Diagnostics. The purpose of this change is to show the list as it will be for FY27 after the passage of SB 19. Note that there are still changes to the list. Given the recent passage of this bill, we do not yet have an approved change document. That will be posted as soon as possible.

Deletes STUKGBRDAY attribute

Updates approved reading diagnostics list
HB 96 (the budget bill) requires the Department to approve up to 5 reading diagnostic assessments for each of grades K-3. The list of approved reading diagnostic assessments is to include the 3 reading diagnostics most widely used by Ohio’s public schools for purposes of the Third Grade Reading Guarantee. This change updates the approved assessments listed in EMIS Manual Sections 2.8 and 2.8.1.
