EMIS Update: Data Appeal/Review & Verification – August 11, 2022

8/11/2022

FY22 Other Accountability Assessment Data Appeals Open
From Thursday, Aug. 11 through Friday, Aug. 19, superintendents may appeal the FY22 other accountability assessment data that impacts accountability. These data include non-statewide assessment data such as Industry Credentials, International Baccalaureate, Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), American College Testing (ACT), Advanced Placement (AP), and ACT WorkKeys. These data may affect measures on the 2022 Ohio School Report Cards, as well as state funding received by the district. This will be the only opportunity to appeal this data.

The superintendent, EMIS coordinator, and superintendent designee all can access and fill out the data appeal forms. However, the forms are not officially submitted to the Department until the superintendent approves the form to complete the process. For more information about the data appeal window, timeline, and completion process for superintendents, visit the EMIS Data Appeals webpage. For questions regarding data appeals, contact the Department's Office of Data Quality.
