Early Childhood Education Expansion Funding 2014-2015
Ohio’s General Assembly increased the state’s investment in high-quality early learning preschool services when the governor signed into law House Bill 59. For Fiscal Year 2015, this allocated an additional $12 million to the early childhood education program. This program will help an additional 2,940 children receive high-quality preschool during the 2014-2015 academic school year.
The new funds for Fiscal Year 2015 will be offered to existing high-quality early learning programs within high-needs areas of the state who can serve children. The links below provide additional information about this program:

List of eligible providers is posted here. Only programs appearing on this list will be eligible to apply for the funds. Please see funding distribution method document above for more information about how eligible programs are identified.
Eligible programs have been contacted directly by the Ohio Department of Education. Deadline for submitting applications to ODE is Friday, March 14, 2014. Once awarded programs have been identified, the department will provide further guidance and information through a confirmation award letter and webinar invitation.
These resources will allow Ohio to serve additional children that otherwise would not have access to high-quality preschool experiences.
