Free Children’s Vision Screening Training, Certification, Equipment and CNEs!
The health and well-being of Ohio’s children is more important than ever before! Undetected and untreated visual impairments can interfere with the development of the visual system during early childhood and can increase the risk for lifelong visual impairment and the potential for poor academic performance.
The Ohio Affiliate of Prevent Blindness offers free evidence-based children’s vision screening training, certification, equipment and continuing nursing education credits for individuals who screen children in
preschool through twelfth grade.

In addition, licensed nurses who complete all components of this training can obtain 4.0 credits of continuing nursing education. Prevent Blindness, Ohio Affiliate is jointly providing the activity in conjunction with Ashland University, Dwight Schar College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
