As of July 2024, per vendor/applicant submitted information, all approved core curriculum and instructional materials for prekindergarten - grade 5 and evidence-based reading intervention programs prekindergarten – grade 12 have self-reported having Professional Development Materials available.

Approved List for Core Curriculum and Instructional Materials

Under ORC 3313.6028(B), the Department shall establish a list of English language arts core curriculum and instructional materials that are aligned with the science of reading and strategies for effective literacy instruction.
 
The Department’s list of approved core curriculum and instructional materials is provided below and includes all materials that met the required criteria for prekindergarten and kindergarten-grade 5.

REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS FOR PREK TO GRADE 5 CORE CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

 
The Department is conducting an application review process to identify eligible core curriculum and instructional materials in English language arts in prekindergarten to grade 5 to update the approved list of materials. Information regarding eligibility, application requirements and submission timelines are available in the request for applications.

  • Intent to Apply – due Oct. 18, 2024, 4:00 p.m. Eastern
  • Applications for Review – due Nov. 1, 2024, 4:00 p.m. Eastern
