REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS FOR PREK TO GRADE 5 CORE CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

 The Department is conducting an application review process to identify eligible core curriculum and instructional materials in English language arts in prekindergarten to grade 5 to update the approved list of materials. Eligibility information, application requirements, and submission timelines are available in the request for applications.

  • August 11, 2026 Amendment: p.16, 21, 44, and 82 of the RFA were amended to add specificity as well as correct typographical errors. Additionally, Appendix F and L were updated with the same corrections.

  • On August 7, 2026, the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce hosted an informational webinar designed to support vendors submitting materials for inclusion on the Approved List of High-Quality Instructional Materials and Core Curriculum in English Language Arts (PreK–5). The session walked participants through the 2026–2027 Request for Applications (RFA), highlighting requirements, review pathways, and critical updates aligned to Ohio’s Learning Standards and the Science of Reading.
