High-Quality Tutoring | Districts and Schools

Districts and schools should consider quality elements of high-dosage tutoring when designing tutoring experiences for students. High-dosage tutoring is an effective tool to accelerate learning for all learners. Below is a list of tutoring initiatives in Ohio to support districts and schools in offering and implementing high-dosage tutoring.
 

• NEW! State-Funded High-Dosage Tutoring Programs provide support the implementation of high-dosage tutoring programs in Ohio districts and schools.
• High-Quality Tutoring Provider Vendor Directory provides districts and schools with a helpful resource to identify high-quality tutoring providers that can support implementation of high-dosage tutoring in schools statewide.
• Ohio’s P20 Mathematics and Literacy Tutoring Collaborative provides quality professional learning for grant partners, districts, schools and tutors. Resources are available to support tutor training in literacy and mathematics.
• Statewide Mathematics and Literacy Tutoring Program, in partnership with Ohio colleges and universities, connects pre-service educators and other trained college students to K-12 students to provide high-dosage tutoring in literacy and mathematics.
• TutorOhio Kids, in partnership with Educational Service Centers (ESCs), hires, trains and deploys tutors to districts and schools statewide.
• Using Student Peer Tutoring Experiences to Earn Graduation Seals is a helpful resource for districts and schools that would like to use high school students as tutors to support younger learners while satisfying graduation requirements.
