Information for Schools about Military-Connected Students
Students of military families can face moving schools six to nine times during a service person's career. These students also face separation from deployments that can last months to years. Schools can use the following links to learn more about ways Ohio supports military-connected students:
Veteran Diplomas
Ohio law allows school districts and chartered nonpublic schools to grant a diploma to those that left high school during World War II, the Korean conflict, or the Vietnam conflict. Schools can award diplomas directly to a veteran or present them posthumously to a living relative. Schools and districts have the option to create an application that meets established criteria or use this sample application.
