Improvement and Innovation Grants Monitoring
Monitoring for competitive Expanding Opportunities for Each Child DSS Grant Cohort 2, competitive School Quality Improvement Grant (SQIG) and Title I SIG 1003(g) Waiver grants will begin in January 2023. As part of monitoring, districts may be required to answer programmatic and fiscal questions.
Select grantees will receive a mandatory onsite review or desk review. Grantees that were selected for mandatory monitoring were notified via email in December 2022.
All other grantees are strongly encouraged to complete the survey as a self-assessment. Electing to not complete the grant-specific survey(s) as a self-assessment may result in additional monitoring in the future.
The Monitoring Tools asks grantees to reflect on their data from the 2021-2022 school year and the first half of the 2022-2023 school year. The questions will allow organizations to reflect on the effectiveness on the strategies used and the impact on students during the 2021-2022 school year and the first half of the 2022-2023 school year. Organizations will need to provide relevant documents to support their answers.
