IDEA Comprehensive Review

IDEA Comprehensive Monitoring Review Guide for 2025-2026 provides an overview of OEC’s IDEA Monitoring Processes and provides the steps and activities involved when an educational agency is selected for a Tier 3 IDEA Onsite Monitoring Review. 

PARENTAL INPUT

As part of the IDEA Comprehensive Monitoring Review Process, educational agencies are required to inform parents of the monitoring review through a notice of review letter provided by the Department. The Department also provides the educational agencies a recorded presentation overview of the monitoring process to post on their website.  The notice of review letter and the presentation provide parents with Department contact information to submit general comments or concerns regarding the special education program and services provided by the educational agency. Parents have up to 30 calendar days after the review date to submit comments to the Department. Below are the current parent notification letters sent out for 2025-2026 for the following districts:
