Fun in the SUN

The Office of Nutrition annually hosts an in-person conference for sponsors and stakeholders of the summer nutrition programs to come together for a state-wide convening. Day One sessions cover meal quality best practices, community outreach, networking opportunities and program improvements; and Day Two includes longer specialized trainings in the program application, compliance, recordkeeping, food safety, and site supervisor responsibilities.

The perfect opportunity to highlight our summer meal sponsoring organizations, the Turnip the Beet and Farm to Summer Challenge winners are acknowledged each year at the Summit.
