2026 Summer Summit
“SUN Meals, Bright Ideas”, will take place in Westerville, Ohio, Feb. 17-18, 2026.
The Office of Nutrition annually hosts an in-person conference for sponsors and stakeholders of the summer nutrition programs to come together for a state-wide convening. Day One sessions cover meal quality best practices for rural non-congregate service models, program improvements through farm to summer activities and the use of technology, a live cooking demonstration, and networking. Day Two includes longer specialized trainings in the program application, compliance, recordkeeping, food safety, and on site responsibilities.
The perfect opportunity to highlight our summer meal sponsoring organizations, the Turnip the Beet and Farm to Summer Challenge winners are acknowledged at the Summit.
