Whole Child Stakeholder Engagement

The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce engages stakeholders to meet the needs of Ohio’s students and improve student outcomes. The Department engages stakeholders through: 

• The Whole Child Advisory Group, a diverse group of stakeholders focused on supporting the whole child; and
• The Whole Child Network Newsletter, which utilizes the Whole Child Network, a listserv of diverse education professionals, community partners, and family members, and shares information and best practices that support the whole child.

For districts, stakeholder engagement is a unique and local process, and each district’s stakeholder list will vary. Schools and districts may consider developing a stakeholder engagement strategy using the Ohio Local Stakeholder Engagement Toolkit.
