Resident Educator Licenses Transition April 12
The Department will transition to Two-Year Resident Educator licenses, in accordance with changes to the Ohio Resident Educator Program, beginning April 12. The former Four-Year Resident Educator license will no longer be issued, extended or renewed on or after April 12. Educators whose Four-Year Resident Educator licenses expire June 30, 2023, may submit the application to Transition to the new Two-Year Resident Educator license if they need additional time to complete the Resident Educator Program beginning April 12. Please note that this change does not affect Alternative Resident Educator license holders. See the Resident Educator Licensure FAQ on the Department’s 4-Year Resident Educator Licenses webpage for information regarding upcoming licensure changes.
