Ohio Teacher Leader Liaisons

Application Period Open

The application period for the 2021-2023 cohort of teachers to serve as Ohio Teacher Leader Liaisons is open through June 30, 2021. This cohort will join the innovative and prestigious network of selected teachers from across the state and engage with the Department on topics related to current and future education initiatives that support Each Child, Our Future: Ohio’s Strategic Plan for Education

Applicants must currently be engaged in a formal or informal teacher leadership role at the local or state level, hold an Ohio teaching license and be willing to work collaboratively with the Department and state stakeholder groups. If selected, a two-year commitment to the network is requested.

Annually, selected applicants will be asked to attend virtual meetings and possibly face-to-face meetings in Central Ohio to receive training and professional development in different aspects of teacher leadership, including such topics as equity, trust-building, using data to promote student achievement, communicating effectively, partnerships and quality schools. The Ohio Teacher Leader Liaisons also will be instrumental in planning the annual state Teacher Leadership Summit.

Each applicant must complete an online application that includes a letter of recommendation from the applicant’s supervisor.  Find the link to the application here.
