Scholastic BookFlix addresses early literacy and the Third Grade Reading Guarantee

This new online literacy resource, offered through INFOhio, pairs classic video storybooks with related nonfiction e-books. The combination of read-aloud stories with read-along nonfiction builds phonemic awareness; develops phonics decoding skills; and strengthens vocabulary, fluency and comprehension. Many of the nonfiction titles are linked to learning standards in science, mathematics and social studies. Lexile scores are included.
