Test Administration Certification Course - Revised

The optional online Test Administrator Certification Course has been revised for the 2022-2023 school year to reflect the new AASCD portal design. There have been no changes to policy or procedure. Administrators do not have to re-take the course if they’ve already taken the previous course. The revised course is slated to be released Fri., Jan. 13, 2023.  Administrators must receive training to administer the AASCD. Districts can use the optional online Test Administrator Certification Course to meet this training requirement. Cambium will provide a certificate of completion upon completing the course. Districts assume all responsibility for any nonstandard test administration or testing irregularity resulting in a test invalidation due to test administration error. Search STARS or contact your local State Support Team (SST) for information regarding additional training opportunities, such as administering AASCD paper accommodations.

Preparing for the 2023 AASCD

The 2023 AASCD test administration window is Feb. 27-April 21. On-time materials are due in districts Feb. 13 and the additional order window is open in TIDE from Feb. 13-April 19. To prepare for the AASCD, districts should ensure that test coordinators and test administrators have reviewed the 2023 AASCD administration manuals available on the AASCD test portal before the test window opens. Test Coordinators must review the AASCD TAM Appendix I: Test Coordinator Checklist and Test Administrators must review the AASCD TAM Appendix J: Test Administrator Checklist.
