Under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), the Governor of each state must submit a Unified or Combined State Plan to the U.S. Department of Labor and U.S. Department of Education that outlines a four-year workforce development strategy for the state’s workforce development system. Ohio submits a combined state plan with the following partners:

• Title I of WIOA
• Wagner-Peyser Employment Services
• Aspire (Title II)
• Vocational Rehabilitation
• Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education
• Jobs for Veterans State Grant
• Senior Community Service Employment Program

PY 2024 - 2027 Combined State Plan  

With a common-sense approach and business-centric focus, Ohio is making important reforms to the workforce system. These reforms will help businesses find the talent they need and help job seekers find good careers, earn sustainable wages, and support their families. The PY 2024-2027 plan will take effect on July 1, 2024.
