HSE (High School Equivalency) Preparation Centers

Contact any preparation center in your area to prepare for the GED® and HiSET tests. 

  • Reminder: All test takers for the GED® or HiSET must be an Ohio Resident.
  • Test takers who are 16 and 17 years of age must supply a signed and notarized consent form and current school year withdrawal form signed by a school official to: State of Ohio HSE Office – Department of Education & Workforce – 25 S. Front Street, MS 622, Columbus, Ohio 43215
  • Test takers who are 18 years of age must supply a current school year withdrawal form signed by a school official to: State of Ohio HSE Office – Department of Education & Workforce – 25 S. Front Street, MS 622, Columbus, Ohio 43215
  • Before you schedule your HSE test date, you must apply first, schedule, include the voucher code, and pay for the test.
  • Voucher codes are available for first time test takers only. The voucher code must be used for the first subtest only (GED and HiSET).
  • Ohio offers two testing vendors: GED® and HiSET.
