Additional Orders for OST Paper Tests

Districts and schools needing to place an additional order for paper test materials may access the “Paper Orders Grades 3-8 Spring 2026” or “Paper Orders High School EOC Spring 2026” administration in TIDE until the dates listed below:

• English Language Arts (ELA) additional order window closes April 22.
• Mathematics, science, and social studies additional order window closes May 6.

There is a new optional method for submitting additional orders via upload. See the TIDE User Guide, pages 97-99 for details.
 
Districts and schools using paper tests must return materials immediately after each of their selected fifteen-day test window closes:

• Return ELA materials no later than April 27. Do not hold ELA materials to return with remaining subjects.
• Return mathematics, science, and social studies materials no later than May 11.

OST Administration Survey

The OST User Survey is available on the OST test portal. Educators are invited to respond to the brief survey about their experiences with the assessments. The survey collects feedback on program and system improvements. The survey closes May 22, two weeks after the OST test window closes.

Printed Family Reports and Score Report Labels Requests Deadline

Printed Spring OST family reports and printed score report labels will only be sent to those districts and schools that request them in TIDE by May 8.  They will be delivered on July 16 to the districts and schools that requested them by the May 8 deadline.

• To receive printed family reports access the “Printed Family Report Requests” task in the Ohio State Tests 2025-2026 administration in TIDE; select “Spring OST Printed Family Report Requests,” choose “Yes,” and click [Save].
• To receive printed score report labels, access the “Score Reporting Label Requests” task in the Ohio State Tests 2025-2026 administration in TIDE; select “Yes” and click [Save].

May 1 Deadline for Grade 3 Paper Test Option for 2026-2027

A district board of education or governing authority must submit a board or governing authority resolution indicating the district’s decision to use paper tests for grade 3 testing for the 2026-2027 school year to the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (Department) by May 1.
