New for Spring OST, AASCD, OELPA, and Alt-OELPA Online Administrations

Enhanced Strikethrough

The strikethrough feature of the student testing site has been enhanced to make it easier for students to see which response options they have struck through, particularly for questions where the response options are large. Strikethrough will now be seen as a series of hash marks through the entire response option, as seen in the sample below.

This enhancement is effective in the Practice Site beginning Feb. 3 and in OST, AASCD, and OELPA tests beginning with the spring test administrations.

Improved Notification for Students Awaiting Approval

The TA Interface has been updated to ensure test administrators notice when students are waiting for approval. The number of students waiting for approval is now red (instead of black) and the tab pulses lightly.

Assessment Authoring

A number of OST items have been added to Assessment Authoring for high school social studies and 249 reading items to English language arts. These items are associated with English Language Arts reading passages and social studies evidence-based set stimuli already available in the Authoring OST library.

Save the Dates for the 2025 Assessment Conference

The Office of Assessment is happy to announce that it will be conducting its fourth annual Assessment Conference each morning on Sept. 23-25. The conference will again cover a variety of topics with updates on Ohio’s assessment programs. Detailed agenda and registration information will be available closer to the conference dates.

College Board State-Funded SAT Office Hours

The College Board will once again be offering office hours to address questions about the state-funded SAT administration each Wednesday from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Feb. 12- April 23. The link to join Office Hours will remain the same each week and be available in the College Board monthly newsletter.
