The Ohio Graduation Tests (OGT) are no longer offered. Adult testers can reference the Supplemental Adult Tester Windows below and visit the Ohio Graduation Tests page for information on adult testing options.

Ohio’s State Tests in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies (OST)

Each school district chooses a consecutive series of school days to administer state tests within specified windows, or periods of time.

FALL 2025 Test Administration windows

  • Fall Grade 3 English language arts: Oct. 13-31, 2025 (Oct. 13 is Columbus Day)
    • Five consecutive school days, including makeup

Ohio English Language Proficiency Screener (OELPS)

Test Administration Windows
  • OELPS: Aug. 5, 2025-June 30, 2026
  • OELPS for the Beginning of Kindergarten (OELPS-BK):
    • Aug. 5-Dec.31, 2025 (for kindergarten students screened on or before Dec. 31, 2025 of school year 2025-2026)
    • May 26-June 30, 2026 (early window for students beginning kindergarten in school year 2026-2027; not for students enrolled in preschool May through summer)
  • OELPS for Kindergarten (OELPS-K): Jan. 1-June 30, 2026 (for kindergarten students screened on or after Jan. 1, 2025 of school year 2025-2026)​
  • Results available for Districts: Within 2-3 hours after submitting the OELPS and scoring any responses in the Teacher Assessment Scoring Center (TASC)

Ohio English Language Proficiency Assessment (OELPA)

  • Test Administration Window: Feb. 2-March 27, 2026
  • Printed family reports are due in districts and schools June 8, 2026.

Alternate Ohio English Language Proficiency Assessment (Alt-OELPA)

  • Test Administration Window: Feb. 2-March 27, 2026

Alternate Assessment for Students with the Most Significant Cognitive Disabilities (AASCD)

  • Test Administration Window: Feb. 23-April 17, 2026
  • Results available for Districts: immediately after test submission
