School Discipline Guidance Package from US Department of Education

The U.S. Department of Education (ED), in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), released on January 8th a school discipline guidance package that will assist states, districts and schools in developing solutions to enhance school climate, and improve school discipline policies and practices.

Teaching in Taiwan – Special Opportunity

Through a memorandum of understanding with Taiwan’s Ministry of Education, the Ohio Department of Education invites new and experienced licensed elementary and middle school teachers to apply to the Teaching in Taiwan program. The selected educators teach English to students in Taiwan for one academic year. Teaching contracts are from 10 to 11 months, depending on the placement.

TEACHERS: January rolls in like a breath of fresh air. The calendar is reset and the second half of the school year is just beginning. In many regards, it is a chance for students to begin anew and an opportunity to do things “better” moving forward.
