Proposed New Pathway for Career-Technical Educator Licensure

The Ohio Department of Education’s Office of Career-Technical Education and Center for the Teaching Profession are proposing a new pathway for career-technical educator licensure for candidates with business and industry experience. This proposed pathway will replace the current Alternative Resident Educator Program for Workforce Development. We are asking that career-technical educators review the proposed competencies for educators who would follow this pathway by completing the survey at the link below before it closes on May 2.

Teaching in Taiwan – Special Opportunity

Through a memorandum of understanding with Taiwan’s Ministry of Education, the Ohio Department of Education invites new and experienced licensed elementary and middle school teachers to apply to the Teaching in Taiwan program. The selected educators teach English to students in Taiwan for one academic year. Teaching contracts are from 10 to 11 months, depending on the placement.
