PARCC will release a free, online practice test in spring 2014, which will be available to all schools and districts. The practice test will include technology-enhanced items and be on the same technology platform that is being used for field testing. This will help students and educators become more familiar with the types of items that will appear on the PARCC assessments. The practice test will include a sample of assessment items for each grade level/course as well as scoring guidance. There also will be some accessibility features and accommodations on the practice test. This will allow students to interact with the various tools and supports that will appear on the test, such as color contrast, magnification and notepad features.
