Carl D. Perkins V State Plan: High-Quality Programs of Study

A key part across the Perkins V State Plan is ensuring students have meaningful access and are engaged in high-quality career-technical education programs. The Department of Education serves as the fiscal agent and coordinating body for the Carl D. Perkins V State Plan and the Perkins grant. The agency also works with 90 career-technical planning districts that serve Ohio’s 612 school districts and 319 community (charter) schools to ensure all students in grades 7-12 have access to high-quality career-technical education.
