Ohio's State Tests in Science and Social Studies
Ohio is administering state tests this year in science and social studies together with the American Institutes for Research (AIR). All districts and schools with eligible students are required to administer the tests. Ohio State Tests Portal
The portal is your gateway to all systems and resources for the administration of state tests. It includes practice tests and FAQs along with resources tailored to the needs of students, families, teachers test administrators, test coordinators and technology coordinators. Although this portal is available to the public, several systems require users to log in using their account information.
The test specification documents are presented below to help educators and the general public better understand the design of the Ohio developed state science and social studies tests. They include descriptions of the assessment components, item types, assessment blueprints and item specifications.

TIDE for online administrations
The Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) system collects and stores student demographic information and provides authorized users with the tools to add and manage users for administrative tasks associated with the administrations for the Alternate Assessments for Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities (AASCD) and the Ohio Science and Social Studies Tests. Authorized users also can order test administration materials, create rosters and download test resources.
