Teaching in Taiwan – Special Opportunity

Through a memorandum of understanding with Taiwan’s Ministry of Education, the Ohio Department of Education invites new and experienced licensed elementary and middle school teachers to apply to the Teaching in Taiwan program. The selected educators teach English to students in Taiwan for one academic year. Teaching contracts are from 10 to 11 months, depending on the placement.

March 15 deadline for Ohio career tech Class of 2015 exemplars

The Office of Career-Technical Education, in partnership with the Ohio Association for Career and Technical Education, will designate exemplary career-tech seniors from the Class of 2015. For the fourth consecutive year, one promising senior will be chosen from each of Ohio’s 15 career fields. The association will award the Darrell Parks Scholarship of $1,000 each to two of the 15. The partnership, which is new in 2015, will provide increased recognition, including certificates from Superintendent of Public Instruction Richard A. State officials have added a robust student section to their Ohio Means Jobs website, hoping it will push K-12 students to think more and earlier about career exploration in the face of the always-changing job market.
