What is a Seal of Biliteracy?

A Seal of Biliteracy recognizes graduating seniors who can demonstrate high levels of proficiency in English and at least one other language. A school or district gives this award by following state-established guidelines.

UPCOMING INFORMATION AND TRAINING SESSIONS

The Department is offering the following series of regional information and training session throughout the state to provide guidance to schools and districts interested in implementing the program. Stakeholders interested in establishing a Seal of Biliteracy program in their locale are encourage to register for a workshop in their area of the state through their SAFE account and the STARS system by searching keywords “Seal of Biliteracy”.
