Video series introduces students to financial literacy topics

The “Beginning Balance: Financial Literacy” video series introduces students to critical financial topics. No matter what their plans are after graduation, financial literacy is an important life skill for students. Through short, easy-to-understand video segments, students can learn the basics of:
- Interest;
- Credit scores;
- Postsecondary loans;
- Paying income tax and filing taxes;
- Budgeting;
- Savings;
- Being a smart consumer;
- Debt; and
- Investing.
The Broadcast Educational Media Commission, the Department and WBGU-TV developed this video series through a Multimedia Grant.
