New public comment opportunity for changes to EMIS guidelines

Ohio law allows EMIS users to review and provide public comment on new or updated EMIS guidelines. The Department recently posted public comment opportunities for the following EMIS guidelines:

• 24-4 Updates to Career-Technical Education (CTE)-related curriculum codes
• 24-6 Updates foreign exchange student element
• 24-8 Updates to Score Not Reported, option L
• 24-12 Clarifies Majority of Attendance (MOA) IRN reporting for preschool
• 24-32 Updates SSID information and guidance
• 24-40 Expand course grade collection
• 24-54 Fiscal Year 2024 industry credential changes
• 24-60 Adds program codes for students entering kindergarten
• 24-69 Updates guidance to referral for evaluation date
• 24-79 Clarifies reporting of assessment group attributes

The deadline to submit comments is May 10. Complete details about the changes are available on the Fiscal Year 2024 EMIS Changes website. EMIS guidelines that are subject to change are posted on the Department’s website for 30 days for public comment and for an additional 30 days with the Department's response to comments.
