Emergent Literacy: Supporting Learners Birth – Kindergarten Entry

Ohio has created two guides to support the implementation of evidence-based practices for enhancing language and literacy outcomes in early care and education programs. These guides, Ohio’s Ready School Guide for Language and Literacy and Implementing Ohio’s Plan to Raise Literacy Achievement: A Guide for Early Care and Education Leaders, are available to all administrators who have a crucial role in ensuring high-quality instruction, intentional and purposeful play, family partnerships and multitiered systems of support for the children they serve.
