School Mental Health and Wellness Technical Assistance Available through the School-Based Center of Excellence for Prevention and Early Intervention

8/17/2023

Schools and districts can start the school year with a focus on student and staff mental health and wellness supports with the help of the School-Based Center for Prevention and Early Intervention (SBCOE). The SBCOE offers support and technical assistance to schools and districts at no cost.

The SBCOE can help schools:

  • Build competency for school staff to implement evidence-based practices in prevention and early intervention practices;
  • Increase student access to mental health resources and services;
  • Develop and expand a Student Assistance Program to improve safety and well-being for students and staff; and
  • Increase staff wellness strategies.
All Ohio school types are eligible to access support on prevention and early intervention information, resources and information about Student Assistance Programming from the SBCOE.

Schools and districts can contact info@ohioschoolwellnessinitiative.com for technical assistance and other questions about school-based prevention and intervention.
