Literacy Academy On Demand Course available on enhancing transcription skills

Becoming a successful writer involves various skills such as transcription, text generation, executive functioning and memory. Students need to develop these skills to write effectively.

According to William Van Cleave, “transcription is the process of transferring words from the mind to the page.”

The “Writing: Transcription” Literacy Academy On Demand course provides educators with useful strategies and resources to enhance transcription skills. This 45-minute course comes with a companion guide for taking notes, allowing for a sharpening of strategies for improving student writing.
