Register now for the military-connected students webinar series

The Department invites educators to register for the military-connected students webinar series. The series consists of three free webinars to bolster supports for students and families connected to our nation’s military. Topics include:

• March 6 - Military student identification;
• March 13 - Understanding the needs of military-connected students; and
• March 19 - How to earn the Purple Star designation.

The webinars are open to all educators and schools interested in learning more about issues facing military-connected students. Schools throughout Ohio serve students from National Guard, reserve, and active-duty military families.

The Purple Star Award recognizes schools that show a major commitment to students and families connected to our nation’s military. These webinars meet the professional development requirement of the Purple Star designation.
