Get ready for National Child and Adult Care Food Program Week

1/16/2024

National Child and Adult Care Food Program Week is March 10-16. The Department of Education and Workforce encourages child care centers, family day care homes, after-school programs, and adult day care centers that participate in the food program to join the celebration.

The National Child and Adult Care Food Program Sponsors Association uses the third week of each March to raise awareness about how the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Child and Adult Care Food Program works to combat hunger. The program brings healthy foods to tables across the country for children and adults in eligible settings.

Email information about planned program site activities to Carmen Stewart by Feb. 23. In the email message, provide details about the activity, facility name, IRN, name of a contact person, telephone number, and optional photos. The Department will randomly select a sample of facilities from these entries to share during National Child and Adult Care Food Program Week. Please ensure proper photo permissions are secured locally as the Department may publicly share any images.

Resources to help plan Child and Adult Care Food Program week celebrations are available from the National Child and Adult Care Food Program Sponsors Association website.
