Invitation to upcoming Career Pathway Development workshops

11/20/2023

The Department invites local school districts to attend upcoming Career Pathway Development Workshops. The workshops will equip school and district administrators with the knowledge, strategies and tools needed to create effective, quality career pathways for students.

The workshop will focus on four main steps – gathering and analyzing data, applying data to make program decisions, exploring delivery options and developing a career pathway. The workshop will conclude with ample work time for attendees to map out a career pathway and action plan to develop within their districts.

Districts must bring five to 10 representatives to the workshop, at least one of which will need to be from a lead within a Career Technical Planning District. Districts are encouraged to coordinate participation with educational service centers, postsecondary partners, business advisory council members and local workforce board members. Attendees will be asked to gather some data before the workshop. Registration for each workshop is limited to 10 districts.
