Video series highlights benefits of taking ownership of learning

The 2023-2024 academic year has begun, and it’s always a good idea to remind students about the benefits of time management and goal setting.
 
Middle school and high school is a time of transition for students where they are learning to be more independent and learning skills that will be needed to be successful in life. Students need guidance and assistance in developing skills that allow them to take ownership of their learning and growth.
 
The Taking Ownership of Your Learning series includes three, 3-5-minute videos featuring students from the Toledo School for the Arts. In the videos, students share the ways that best practices and habits positively impact their academic and personal lives. Watch the series to learn more about how to develop interests, set goals and balance academic and personal commitments.
 
The video series was created by the Broadcast Educational Media Commission, the Department and WGTE as a part of the Multimedia Grant project.
