The Educational Service Center of Central Ohio is hosting the Multicultural CommUNITY Resource Fair Sept. 22 at the Ohio History Center in Columbus.
This free event aims to connect community resources, organizations and schools for the benefit of multicultural individuals and diverse student populations in Ohio. On-site parking is free. Participants also will have free entrance into the museum and village.

Starting in the 2023-2024 school year, the State of Ohio biennial budget includes funding to cover the cost of providing no-cost breakfast and no-cost lunch to students qualifying for reduced-price meals. Visit the National School Breakfast or Lunch Program webpage for more information.
Additionally, the Ohio Department of Education is approved for a National School Lunch Program Direct Certification pilot providing direct certification lists identifying students approved for free or reduced-price meals through Medicaid in addition to those certified through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Ohio Works First (OWF).

The Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) form and process are undergoing a massive overhaul for the 2024-2025 FAFSA. These changes have resulted in the opening date being delayed until December 2023. Students and parents are advised to explore college websites to understand new dates and urged to set up new FSA ID this fall to be prepared to file when FAFSA opens.
