TELL Ohio

The Teaching, Empowering, Leading and Learning (TELL) Ohio 2013 survey captured the responses of more than 20,000 Ohio educators on the teaching and learning working conditions through an anonymous on-line survey administered March – April of 2013.

Prepared by the New Teacher Center (NTC), and sponsored by ODE and other education organizations, the TELL Ohio survey findings document and analyze teaching and learning conditions in Ohio schools and districts. The survey included the following topics:

• Community Engagement and Support

• Teacher Leadership

• School Leadership

• Managing Student Conduct

• Use of Time

• Professional Development

• Facilities and Resources

• Instructional Practices and Support

• New Teacher Support

This initiative provided schools with a response rate of at least 50 percent, their own data to use as part of the ongoing improvement planning process. Professional development opportunities will be available for schools that received data from the 2013 survey. More information on the professional development opportunities will be forthcoming on the TELL Ohio website.
