Licensure rule changes provide certain educators and their employers with more flexibility

The State Board of Education has approved several Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) rule changes that now affect educators seeking supplemental, short-term substitute and alternative resident educator licenses. Another rule change will assist educators who have worked at schools out of state when they wish to renew their Ohio professional educator licenses.

This time of year also puts more people on the roads, as they travel to see family and friends, near and far. It makes sense, then, that this season becomes one of the most dangerous times of the year for alcohol-related accidents and fatalities.

As part of #OhioWonderWeek, the Ohio Department of Education challenges students to send at least 5,000 letters spreading kindness to hospitalized children in Ohio by the end of November. Let’s show that our deeds are our monuments and spread some joy to our peers!
